Croeso i Ysgol Gymraeg Mornant!

Dwy iaith – Dwy waith y dewis a’r cyfle.
Two languages – Twice the choice and opportunity.

Y mae’n braf gen i’ch croesawu i wefan Ysgol Gymraeg Mornant. Ein gobaith fel ysgol yw magu perthynas dda rhyngom ni yn yr ysgol a chi’r rhieni a’r palant a sicrhau ethos cyfeillgar a chartrefol wrth eich croesawu i deulu estynedig yr Ysgol.

Yn y llawlyfr cewch wybodaeth am yr Ysgol, ei diben a’i hamcanion, Ei chwricwlwm, polisïau ac amryw weithgareddau. Ysgol o dan nawdd yr Awdurdod lleol yw Mornant, sy’n darparu addysg gyfrwng y Gymraeg.

Ar hyn o bryd mae 65 o ddisgyblion o 3 hyd at 11 oed gennym. Rydyn ni’n hyderus y bydd ein disgyblion yn gwbl ddwy ieitheg a rhugl yn y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg.

Y mae’r Ysgol yn rhan o ffederasiwn Cwlwm ynghyd ag Ysgol Maes Garmon Yr Wyddgrug, ac o ganlyniad rydym yn falch o allu trosglwyddo disgyblion 11 oed yno i barhau gyda’u haddysg yn y Gymraeg. Mae hyn yn cael ei weithredu yn dda gan fod y ddwy ysgol yn cydweithio gyda pherthynas clos i ddatblygu hyder a phontio llyfn rhwng y cynradd ar uwchradd.

Yr ydym yn falch ein ein bod yn medru darparu addysg naturiol Gymreig o 3oed hyd at 18oed drwy ein perthynas ag Ysgol Maes Garmon.

I am pleased to welcome you to the school website. Our hope as a school is to foster a good relationship between us at the school and you the parents and children and to ensure a friendly and homely ethos when welcoming you to the extended family of the School.

In the handbook you will find information about the School, its purpose and objectives, its curriculum, policies and various activities. Mornant is a school under the auspices of the local Authority, which provides Welsh medium education.

We currently have 65 pupils aged 3 to 11. We trust that our pupils will be completely bilingual and fluent in Welsh and English.

The School is part of the Cwlwm federation together with Ysgol Maes Garmon Yr Wyddgrug, and as a result we are proud to be able to transfer 11-year-old pupils there to continue with their education in Welsh. This is implemented well as the two schools work together with a close relationship to develop confidence and a smooth transition between primary and secondary.
