Prif Amcanion Ysgol Mornant ydy:
- Gosod y safonau uchaf posib ac addysg effeithiol o fewn cwricwlwm cytbwys ar gyfer disgyblion o bob gallu a helpu pob plentyn i gyrraedd y targedau a osodir iddynt.
- Meithrin ymdeimlad o berthyn a phopeth sy’n gysylltiedig a hynny:- hunan barch at eraill. Hunan hyder, hunanfynegiant a hunan ddisgyblaeth.
- Meithrin y syniad o gymdeithas syn ffynnu er mwyn pawb – cydweithio,cyd-chwarae, cydymdeimlo, cyd ddeall a chytuno.
- Gofalu am bob disgybl unigol ac ymroi i’w ddatblygiad llawn gan ofalu bod hynny’n cynnwys ei dwf personol, corfforol, cymdeithasol, deallusol a moesol.
- Annog pob plentyn i wneud y gorau o’i gryfderau a’i ddoniau ac i allu ymdopi a’i wendidau.
- Meithrin hyder wrth ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg a’r Saesneg i gyfathrebu, deall, gwneud synnwyr a darllen, a hynny wrth gwmpasu gofynion eang cwricwlwm ysgol a’r byd o’n cwmpas.
